Update

It has occurred to me that it has been three months since I updated this blog. I guess it is about time I updated it.
Bob and Jim went to NY for Christmas. I was the low man on the totem pole, so I could not get off to go to NY for Christmas. I was, however, able to spend a four day weekend in NY over Martin Luther King Jr. weekend. It was nice, I had a good time, but it was way too short a period of time. I hope to get back to NY during the month of July. The Afton Fair is going to be July 8th to the 13th. I am going to try and be there during that week, but pretty much everyone tries to go on vacation in the months of June, July, and August - the hottest months of the year. Maybe I will get lucky.

This year has been a circle of Bob being sick, then Jim and I being sick, then Bob being sick, then Jim and I being sick, etc... Right now Bob is healthy - Jim and I are sick. I have laryngitis, which is not very fun for someone who likes to talk as much as I do.

I have to work on Easter Sunday. We are going to celebrate Easter on Saturday. One of our neighbors is going to come over with their children. It should be fun. I have not, however, been able to find a fresh ham - I think I am going to have to settle for the standard pre-cooked variety. I think it was Wegmans that had fresh ham every Christmas and Easter - the kind that doesn't have added salt or nitrates or anything else - just plain pork. I have gone to multiple stores, and I have not found anyone that sells fresh ham in the Phoenix area.

Jim is happy because I finally found his jelly beans. Just Born brand jelly beans are his favorite kind of jelly bean. We were not able to find them last year. Chuck brought several bags of jelly beans to us when he came out here in his big truck (Bob remembers it) last year. I still could not find Jim's jelly beans this year. However, when I was at Walgreen's, I noticed a bag of Mike and Ike brand Jelly beans. The wheels in my head turned -- Just Born makes Mike and Ike. I picked up the bag and saw they looked just like Jim's favorite jelly beans. I brought some home - and lo and behold, they were the same. Thus, Jim has his jelly beans.

We are trying to get Bob in the habit of not wasting water. I explained to him that once water goes down the drain, it is dirty and we cannot drink it anymore. If we are not careful, we will use up all of the water and when we turn on the faucet, nothing will come out - Then, what will we drink? His response - Lemonade!!!

Bob had his picture taken at school again on Thursday. We thankfully will get to preview the picture before we buy it. The last picture we had to order the package sight unseen, and the picture was awful - complete with Bob sticking out his tongue partway.

On Saturday, there will be an Easter egg hunt at a grocery store down the block. The Easter Bunny will be there as well - for pictures. Bob should have fun. Our neighbors will be there as well. (The ones who are coming over Saturday night for dinner) I will have to post a picture of Bob with the Easter Bunny.

It is getting late and I have to work tomorrow. I hope everyone is doing well. Hopefully I will be posting a picture of Bob with the Easter Bunny next week.
